At Snake River School & Community Library, we’re always excited to share new ways for families to enjoy stories, music, and learning together. One of our favorite discoveries recently has been the Yoto Player and its smaller sibling, the Yoto Mini — two amazing devices designed to bring the magic of audio to children, without screens or ads!

What IS a Yoto Player?

The Yoto Player is a smart speaker made just for kids. Instead of using a phone or tablet, children insert Yoto Cards—sturdy cards that play audiobooks, music, podcasts, or even sound effects when popped into the player. It’s a simple, engaging way for children to take control of their listening experience while encouraging independence and imagination.

Parents can control settings through the Yoto app, but kids can safely explore on their own—adjusting volume, skipping tracks, and even using the pixel display for fun icons and a clock.
